PACTEC specializes in the installation of high frequency (HF) radio systems, radio e-mail, and satellite telephones in remote environments. Currently PACTEC is conducting long-range communication projects to assist government agencies in Mauritania and Kazakhstan.

In Afghanistan, PACTEC Communications Project activities include selling, installing and servicing VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) satellite Internet connections, LANs (Local Area Networks), and wireless Internet networks, as well as e-mail services.

In Mauritania, PACTEC has installed 100 solar-powered, data-ready HF radios to link health clinics and regional Ministry of Health Offices. The radio network helps provide thousands of Mauritanians with much improved health services.

The bleak and barren steppe of Central Kazakhstan isolate rural populations, depriving them of basic health services. In partnership with
local health officials, PACTEC is implementing a network linking rural clinics with a regional hospital.
